LS to TH350 Converter vs flex plate transistion
I know most people use the adapter flex plate to adapt an ls to an old style trans. I then ran across this.
I had considered changing out my converter anyways, so this seems like an option. Anyone have any experience/opinions of these? I searched, but didn't find anything. If there's another thread point me that way, and I'll delete this one.

That is a basic TCI TH350 converter rebuilt with a longer LS-compatible pilot.
Do you see that steel ring welded to the body of the converter?
That indicates it started as a very basic 4/6 cylinder GM converter that was rebuilt with a few upgrades and mods.
These "cheap" TCI converters are very loose/sloppy on the street and have a weak lockup clutch (designed for 4/6 cylinder cars) which when it fails can ruin your transmission too.
I have not tried that particular converter, but did have two TCI converters, before I knew better.
Why not contact Circle D and see what they have for better solutions.

If you're looking for something with a seamless fit, one of our custom converters with the LS bolt pattern and pilot would be the ticket. This will give you the strength of a billet converter without the need for a fancy conversion flexplate. Since the th350 is a non lockup transmission, you don't have the weak lockup clutch to fail like mrvedit mentioned, but there are other corners cut that we deem unacceptable.
