Default Freshly built 4L60E noise

I just rebuilt the 4L60E in my 2002 Tahoe. It was my first rebuild and things went fairly smooth. I got it back together and it shifts great. Everything seems to be fine, except for this ticking noise. It seems to get worse as everything heats up.

I have read some threads concerning a similar noise and TC bolt and flexplate issues. The odd thing about my noise is that it lightens up if I reach up and slightly lift up on the shifter. That cannot be related to the TC or flexplate. That linkage only opens the manual valve in the valve body.

What could be making the ticking noise?

Thanks for any help that you guys can offer.

Justin
