Default 1500HP Flexplate options...

Hey guys so i am in the process of slowly gathering parts for my 67 Camaro build and am stuck on flexplate options. I have used the stockers at 800hp, but dont feel comfortable pushing past that.

Curious on what everyone is running in the 1000-1500HP range. Will more than likely see 1000hp but want it 1500hp capable for future growth.

Parts for build i have purchased so far:

LSX Block 427 with TFS 245s & Holley HI-Ram
Jakes level 5 with D3 brake
Jakes Billet triple disk Converter
ect ect....

So what is everyone 1000hp+ running?

Meziere, TCI, PRW, B&M, Hughes, FTI ????

Meziere is hands down probably the best flexplate on the market! and we only carry Meziere plates for that reason.

This is our new billet LS flexplate, in preproduction now - officially available at start of the year. We have been testing for almost a year in some very powerful and heavy cars.
  • 3 Main GM bolt patterns
  • If your converter has 6 pads, then you can use all of them
  • Lightweight design, weighs just 5 pounds
  • Tapered design, thicker in center section to prevent any cracking
  • Comes with ARP bolts with a shoulder and longer UHL custom made for Circle D
  • Chamfered ring gear for easier starter engagement.
  • Replaceable ring gear if there are any starter problems
  • Pending SFI 29.2 certification
  • Proper .575 offset to match GM OE specifications
  • Curved design to fit OE converters
  • Option of 6, 8, or 9 bolt crank patterns

I've ran the meziere in the past with good results. However, i didn't have close to 1000 horsepower.

BTW, I think that circle d unit is around $400, but I'll let them verify that.

Pricing will be $500, with the custom ARP bolts.

Looks like the Meziere are $500+ too.
How much power can the $270 TCI Machined flexplate handle?

We have them in 1600+ RW builds right now... will continue to add power and see if we find a limit.

And thanks, they look even better in person.
