v6 converter with 4l70e trans
Hopefully someone can help me out here. I was told that the converter from the i6 (v6 trailblazer) coupled with an L-s9 cam (4l70e) trans would wake the Ls2 up (cheaply)
My question is this; Circle D has a stall converter that I was considering for a future build. The stall was recommended by the guys at Texas Performance so it should fit my needs. This stall though is for a 4l60e (Ill be running a 4l80e) I was told that if I switch the flexplate to a 4l60 plate (dished) I could run that converter. Does that apply with the i6 converter? If I replaced the flywheel could I use the i6 converter with the 4l80e?

The 4L60E and 4L80E take completely different converters.
So to switch from the 4L60E to the 4L80E you will need to change the flexplate (or run a dual pattern flexplate), install a spacer and get a 4L80E converter.
The LS9 cam, like all EPA-compliant stock cams, is a very mild cam. If you are going to go through the effort of install a different cam, many aftermarket cams might be a better choice, although you may have to upgrade the valve springs too.
