Default Trans line pressure gauge - sender?

Some discussion of my TCC slip problems has made
me think I need to be logging real line pressure to
see whether my problem lies with the clutch or its
hydraulics. I know there are gauges you can hook
up (somewhere) but, what I would really like is to
fit up an electric sender and feed that to one of my
HPTuners EIO A/D inputs for real time pressure logging
against load & road.

Don't know if a straight engine oil pressure sender would
be sensible here, seems like 4X engine oil pressure might
be seen. Does anyone know of a good 300PSI pressure,
hot oil capable sender that has a known pressure/voltage,
pressure/resistance (whatever) curve I could use for
logged data transform back to trans line PSI?

Posted here for the hydraulics-heads; I'll hit up the PCM
section separately, want to cover all the bases.

You can get a high side gauge from an airconditioning pressure test manifold.
While you're there you can get a long hose and adapters.
You'd need a 1/8"male pipe thread to 1/4" male flare for the trans side, on the gauge side use a 1/8" female pipe thread to 1/4" male flare.
Only thing is it would be for testing only, thats what I use.
You need a gauge that goes up to at least 350psi, you might see that if theres trouble.
The a/c gauge reads 0-500 in 2 degree increments, most do anyways.
I test all my transmissions with this set up.
To be honest there isn't any room for an electrical sender. BUT you could extend the pressure tap down to accessable levels with the use of some fittings and tube.
Might try napa or a heavy truck parts store for a universal sender.

I use a Snap-On Vantage metet. They sell a sender that hooks up to my meter and lets me read line pressure. From 0-500 psi. even vacum if I want.
