Default A guys trying to sell me a 4200 TCI converter>>

I'm swapping trannys (350 turbo) and all I like to be finished is to buy a converter. I had a 2800 vig in my 4l60e and it worked great. My cam is suppose to be good from 1500-5800 but I shift around 6100. Would a 4200 stall be to much converter for my car?? Would I loose anything by putting this in my car?? I don't want to overdue my setup. Thanks

I think you'd be pretty sorry about going that high in
a non-lockup arrangement. You'd be slipping like mad
on the highway and no way around it (except to have
super high gears, so you turn at a semi-efficient RPM,
which would have to suck for noise level and economy).

you want your stall to be 500 rpm above the begining of your cams powerband so right off the line you are alredy making descent power.

How would that apply to a stock internal motor (2000) with bolt ons only, what would be the best stall choice based on that 'rule of thumb'?
