No lockup, what does this hurt?

No lockup, what does this hurt? My converter doesn't lock, will that damage the tranny or converter to continue to drive it without the lockup?

Depends on why it's not locking up.
If it's fried then yes it will hurt to drive it.
If it's an electrical problem it won't hurt anything as long as you keep the temp normal. Temp should stay normal if you drive it mostly above stall speed IMO and from what I've experienced.

when did it quit locking in? last time i was with you it was working. maybe finally coming to light from when we were trying to figure out the knock retard when it was trying to unlock. how did you figure out it's not locking? do the foot on the brake check to see if it unlocks and the rpms come up a little.

Actually it's for another vehicle of mine, a truck I just bought, but it has a 700R-4.......didn't know if I'd do any harm driving it as is. The car has been doing great
