most desirable 4L60e
What years are the most desirable for th 4L60e?
I'm looking at a 2000 Firebird LS1 with a manual trans... and my application requires an automatic. I'll have to buy the trans and the ECU to match but I wanted to see what the best years and applications where (FBody, blazer, etc) first.

I guess they're all the same then????
I am looking at buying a wrecked 2000 Trans Am with a T-56 and my project requires an automatic... I would have to buy the 4L60e seperately along with the appropriate ECU...
Are all the 4L60e's the same from Blazers and FBodies or what???

Blazers and F-bodies have the same trans. The trucks with 4L60's have a different clutch material on the band. Either will work for what you are doing, just be sure you get one with an LS1 bellhousing (2 piece bellhousing) or you'll be kicking yourself for buying one that only fits an LT1.
