Default Quick Question

I am having my tc installed tomorrow. Should I return the shift settings from the handheld back to stock before the install?

Ok. I quickly read through the line pressure sticky post. And if I understand this correctly, line pressure is controlled by current to a solenoid. So, the handheld changes the amount of current being sent to the solenoid. So, from what I gather, it should be safe to leave the tune in there. Is this true?

I left my tune on. After the install I removed it and then put it back in. It Seemed to like the shift firmness enhanced over stock tune.

Do you have a shift kit going in with the converter? It's my understanding that you don't want to install a shift kit and have the line pressure turned up at the same time.

Opted not to do a shift kit after reading the sticky. I had the TC installed today. When I originally talked to the installer I mentioned the shift kit. When I took it to him today, he fessed up that it was not needed.

Love the little 2600. perfect for my plans.
