quick ? 2000 silverado 4x4 transmission I have a 2000 silverado ext cab 4x4 not a z71. it has the 4.8 engine but the auto trans is about to go. I found one out of the same truck but with the 5.3.
Whats the difference if any between the transmission on the 4.8 and the 5.3. and what would it take to make the 5.3 work on a 4.8 engine.
