Post *Update on Vibrating Transmission*

Hey guys, I recently posted about how my transmission was vibrating very badly under hard acceleration after replacing my stock transmission mount w/a polyeurethane mount. Well today I fixed the problem. Turns out that I did not take into account that the car was on a jack when I bolted up the new mount and apparently that has something to do with the geometry of things So I losened the bolt through the crossmember and retightened it while the car was much more level...and guess what!?...No more vibration!! Oh, and I also took out the extra "preload" plate that came w/the mount and that definitely decreased the vibration of normal driving a lot.

Hope this helps somebody

Yeah...that preload plate is the debil

I'm actually going from my poly tranny mount back to rubber, and switching out my rubber motor mounts for poly to see what that does. I'm tired of the shifter vibrating all to hell at the top of 2nd and 3rd gear.

I'm interested to hear your results with your poly motor mounts.
Let me know when you've done it.
Thanks, appreciate it.
