Default I need your input

I took the car to the track last night (after a years hiatus) and it acted really different...I think something took a dump. I staged up as normal with the A4 and left at about 4000 rpm, nothing unsual. As the car left it down shifted normally and proceeded to climb to the next shift point (all normal things). The next time that it shifted it seem to miss the gear or slip somewhat because I bounced to rev limiter at 50 mph and it just slipped until I let off and the A4 shifted again. This happened on 2 cont passes until I gave it up. I checked the fluid and it is burned suggesting that I fried something. any suggestions?

Ben

PS The car is driving fine otherwise. I drove home with no problems whatsoever.
