Default str ratio?

This will be a really stupid question to most people but what does the "str" indicated on a torque converter do? What is it? My car is stock what "str" would it benefit from? I just will never know if i never ask and I couldnt find anything about it by conducting a search in the forum and to be honest with you I dont even know if i have used it in the correct context in this question.

Glad it helped......just do some searching in this section. I used the terms "explain str" and the post I gave you was one of the first that came up.
