Anyone else's 4L60E have a bit of whine in the upper RPMs? I notice it mostly in first gear right before it shifts to 2nd. Tranny is about 4 years old and from what I remember, it has always done it since I had the other one replaced.

does it go away in 3rd if so it could be the planet gears making noise

I honestly don't hear it in third at all, just the 1-2 and 2-3 shift.

could be fluid noise....or could be the planets you wouldnt hear the planet in third (if they are bad)becuse they are locked together 1.1 and are turning as one unit
