Default Out Put Shaft Seal R+R?

I have a 99 Z28 with 97k on the clock. the pan gasket started seeping a couple months ago and now the out put shaft seal is leaking... time to change both. do i need a seal puller to get that seal out? and what is the proper way to get the new one seated? Thanks!!

I've always just removed the old seal carefully with a flat screwdriver, then lightly tapped the new one in until it's seated all the way around.

Just what SoCalZ28 said. If you are alittle worried about the seal going in straight use a socket that is the same diameter and hit the socket. This will insure that it goes in correct.
