Default Matching stall size with cam size

I just bought a MS3 cam and I'm a little worried if i'm going to have problems with this cam matching up with my 3600 stall and 2.73's. I've read something that briefly touched on matching your cam with your converter and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the subject. thanks.

The converter will be ok. I think what needs to be addressed is your 2.73 gears

Whats going to be the issue with the gears? Is it just a performance factor or does it run the risk of burning out my converter due to slippage?

No basically the gears will greatly help get the car moving and make the whole setup feel a lot better. A high duration camshaft needs steeper gears to get moving as the low revs (under 2000) are going to be pretty sloppy.

The 3600rpm stall should have a shift extension in the 4400-4800 range depending on the converter. That should keep you in the meat of the powerband IMO.
