Default question for yank owners???

Okay just got a good deal on my yank py3600. from a friend. in great shape. he went th400.. anyways, I noticed they also make a yank ss3600. and that the str was higher on the yank, 2.7 compared to 2.3 str, I believe. dosen't it mean that the higher the str the harder it will hit off the line? Im new to these good convertors. had a tci breakaway 2400-2600 and it came apart and took out my first tranny... anyways will the py3600 be just as good in the 1/4" and on the street as a ss3600. I don't really plan on a blower or n20 quite yet. and I believe that is what the py is made for. I believe the py is a beefier stall.. with 6 mounting lugs... just curious... also got it for 450.00 so about 1/2 price...

The PY 3600 is rated for a power adder so the stall will be lower with NA use,
the SS3600 is rated for NA use, true stall.
so you will see a stall of about 2800 to 3000 if the PY3600 installed in you car

Wouldn't the SS3600 be a little high for a blot-on LT1 car?? If the one you have stalls around 2800-3000 like stated above that is usually what the LT1 power band likes, so i'd just stick with it.

well Im also a h/c car. with my cc306 cam it loves to come alive around 3500rpm's. so I think a true 3600 na stall would work better for my application...
