Default Bought a used tranny w/ vac mod, do I have to hook it up?

Really basic question I know but I bought Probuilt in my sig used and it came with the vac mod already installed. The guy included a line and told me where to hook it up at. I've read mostly cons about the vacuum modulator and kinda wondered if I could just leave it undone. My question is whether or not the vac mod becomes a necessary function of the transmission once installed. If not I will just block the port and go without it.

And no this tranny has never been bolted up yet so I can't just take the line off and see. Hopefully will get to work on this project next week.

That transmission must be hooked up to a vacuum line because it has the epc removed. This is very important because it is what is controlling your transmissions line pressure. The break booster hose is where you should T into. If you are running a blower/turbo you must run a vacuum blowoff kit as well. Most people love this setup when done correctly. Hope this was the answer you needed, Vince.

You must either hook it up or make the conversion back to the PCS setup .

That's what I needed to know. I'll go ahead and hook it up. I wasn't familiar with the nuts and bolts of that modification. Thanks everyone.
