SS4000 to much on N2O
Ok guys Im stuck right now deciding weather to order an SS4000 or SS3600 for my 98 SS. The car is going have a 228/232 cam along with a 100 - 150 shot from time to time along with heads next winter. The problem is i dont know if with my 3.23's if with the N2O this would be to much converter? Which would you go with?

+1 for SS3600
if you cut out too much of your powerband, you'll have no time to spray

yank say the SS4000 is good for up to a 200 shot when i have called. a 150 shot will be no problem. this converter is nothing like the PT4000 which is very loose
i never quite understand why so many 4L60e racers are affraid of spraying a loose converter? i sprayed my Yank ST4000 with success. i have a converter that is coming up to around 4200 rpms n/a and i spray it with a 150 shot and holds great.

You will be fine with both converter and the 3.23 gears. I have on a rare occasion sprayed a 75 shot on my H/C car with 3.73 gears and a TCI 4000 stall. The only problem I have is crossing the traps at 6700rpm. If I sprayed the car all the time I would go with a 3200/3500 converter or 3.23 gears.

thinking i will go with the ss4000 and just do the h/c first. The car wont see more then a 100-150 shot before a forged bottom end which wont be till after a 4l80e and 12 bolt with 3.73's

This is pretty much the same boat I'm in and I talked to Yank before ordering the converter, they said I would be fine on a 150 shot.

yank...
wow I didn't know you can run that big of a shot on a ss stall.. what is the use of the py3600e stall? they say it is a nitrous stall, how big of a shot can you run on it?
I just picked up the py3600 stall. so for the first yr. running it I will be just h/c. until I build my forged stroker, and then hopefully a 200 shot on it.. will it stall high enough for my cc306 cam to come alive NA?
or should I just sell it and try to find a ss3600 that might stall higher?
