how to tell if 2nd is slipping?
Ok guys for a while now my car seems to be having a problem in second gear, it almost feels like third pulls harder.
this problem is made worse when i am on the bottle (100 shot). How can i tell if it is a problem with the trans. does not seem to be the engine, as it pulls hard in first and third.
The only thing related to the trans i have changed is the gear (up to 3.42) and the tune (diablo TB removed, etc., also made the shifts faster).

If you can get a scan tool attached to it and log
the trans input shaft RPM and output shaft RPM,
their ratio will be a fixed 1.625:1 (input/output)
in 2nd gear. Anything more than that indicates
slip in the transmission.

Don't really know what a slipping auto feels like, so thats pretty much useless for me. All i'm used to is manual trannies.
Nice thanks for the advise on the scan tool i have access to one, i'll do that.
