Default 4L80E on LQ9 problem, need part #!

I am trying to fit a 4L80E from an '05 Savanna van on an '04 LQ9 from a Silverado SS, but it does not fit. A few members have suggested I need a 4L80E flexplate, but now my local Chevy dealer (and GMPP distributor) tells me there are 3 different 4L80E flexplates and they cannot tell me which will work... HELP!!! does anybody know which flexplate I need? there must people here who have put together these trans and engine! Can someone help in some way? If needed, I can give you the VIN from both vehicles.

2 things are causing problem:
I cannot bring the trans case against the engine block, the converter is against the flexplate first; the gap is about 1/8"
the holes do not line up, and my flexplate has only 3 holes while the converter has 6 bolts

I'm not aware of 3 different flexplates, but here's what we have used in the past:

12551367 Flexplate. This is the flat flexplate used on 6.0/4L80E applications.

12563532 Flexplate spacer. This goes onto the crankshaft first, followed by the flexplate.

12563533 Bolt (6 req.) These are the longer crankshaft bolts needed because of the spacer.

The torque converter you are using is also very important to making all of this work. This stuff is all designed to work with a standard thickness 4L80E TC.

John, it seems your knowledge has no limits!!! As for the standard depth converter, the one I have came with the 4L80E. The only kind of ID I could find on it is a sticker with the numbers 2422 and 7936. I do not know if this means anything. Anyway, can I measure the thickness of my converter, what should it be?

I'm not sure what the thickness should be but if it came with the trans it should be ok. I don't have any laying around unassembled to measure.
