Default 4L80e - what yoke?

I'm doing a 4L80e swap into my M6 very soon. I'm ordering in parts while my builder builds the tranny. How do I know what yoke to order? I know the output shaft has the threaded end for a bolt-on yoke. So what do I order? And will it let me keep my stock u-joint? Thanks in advance.

Every one has threads in the end, even those with no shoulder that can't use a bolt on yoke.
There are basically two different types of outputs that you need to worry about. One is factory slip yoke, this one has splines up to the rear case bushing. You can use a 4x4 yoke or any other with splines up to the end of the hole. Or a th400 type.

If the trans had a bolt on yoke it should have a shoulder 3 or 4 inches in, this was used as a stop to give the yoke something to tighten up against. In this case you need to use a th400 yoke, these have about 2 or 3 inches of smooth non splined area in the end of the yoke to fit over the shoulder.
All are 32 spline.

call up strange and they will give you what you need. a few companies carry these parts through strange, but not likely to be in stock. i forgot the part number of the one i got sent, but it certainly works perfectly.

so a th400 yoke works on both types? that's easy enough.
