Default WSS and the burnout box?

So i converted my 6-speed to an auto (TH400) and am using a front wheel sensor for the vss...mainly because all the posts i see say to use one from the front. Shouldn't i be using one from the rear so my engine will be running from the same timing tables on the dyno/burnout box as on the street? Is it safe to do a burnout as is?

Thanks

Why don't you do it right and install a reluctor wheel and vss in the trans? So many trucks and vans came with them from the factory.
It amazes me how people think they're saving so much time and some money on parts by connecting it to the wheel, but all you gain is a headache at the track.

Settle down...the parts are on order but haven't gotten here yet...I was trying to do anything so my speedo would work for a big race I wanted to make on Sunday as i was up all night getting the car ready.

Thanks for all your help
