Default Yank VS ???

Has anybody taken out a brand "?" converter and repllaced it with an exact advertised stall and do back to back comparisons?? I have reread a lot of the past write ups but no real numbers or head to head proof? No other changes at all just a converter swap of as close to the same advertised stall as possible.

I am seriously interested as I have replaced my stock converter and feel like the car is a slug now. I have the usual bolt ons with BB custom cam and ported heads, 3:73's and shorty headers. It is in a fairly lite car as it is in a Hot Rod not a F body.

I just don't want to get caught up in any hype as for the money and more important the labor to swap I want to feel a difference.

Thanks

well i road in a 01 that had a 3200 tci 01 bm with a 3200 and a 02 yank 3400 and by far the yank was better thats why i went with my yank ss4000. them 3 are the only one i've delt with so i could tell you what a vig. or any other is like. just my 2 cents.

Went from a vig 3800 to a yank ss4000 and it was a huge improvement, I mean like 2 tenths and 5mph in the 1/4. It's not near as loose as the vig was either.
