Default Torque Converter for DD Vette?

The only time I've ever had an automatic, I always put in huge stalls for racing. I've never tried to do one for daily driving.

I just picked up a 2002 A4 Vette with a 2.73 rearend. I'll probably put just a Getrag Z06 replacement 3.42 in and I plan to put AFR 205s and a Comp XE-R 224 112 in it. I was thinking the Yank SS3200 would work well enough to keep it nice and tight, but I wonder if the 224 cam wouldn't be too big. I'm trying to stay out of the automatic for a while, so I don't want to rev much past 6k to keep it alive for a while. So maybe even an XE-R 220 on a 112 might work. Either way, would the SS3600 work better?

One thing I do hate about stalled cars is the way they feel - I'm going with the AFR 205s for throttle response and crispness - so I don't want the throttle to become laggish because of the wrong converter. The other thing is, I'm not going to race it at all, so I don't want to blow the tires off (305/30-19s suck for traction anyway). And a high STR means better feel, but shittier performance on street tires. So, what options do I have? It's a lot easier to just go ***** out. But having my cake and eating it, too, is difficult.

IMO the Yank 3200 is a perfect stall for a daily driver. I ran a Yank 3200 for 3 years and really enjoyed it. It was especially nice when the trans was tuned to increase the shift speeds. It was pretty tight compared to my current PT4000.

I wonder how the SS3200 compares to the PY3400E. I figure the PY3400E will be even tighter with it's much higher 2.7 STR, but I wonder if that's just too much. I seriously doubt the 305/30-19s will be able to handle the SS3200 at WOT either, so maybe for me the PY3400E isn't a bad choice.

I assume both of those converters would suck from a roll however. I'm used to a PT4000 and 3.90 gears behind a 383 with a 244/248 110. From a roll, that thing was unstoppable.

I can't speak for the PY3400E, but the Yank 3200 I had was okay from a roll, but nowhere near as good as my PT4000. With DR's and the 3200 TC, the car hooked nearly as good on the street as the track.
