Why is my trans leaking?
Just got home from Carlisle. (Great show btw) As I'm backing the car into the garage, I notice some smoke. At first I figured it was a little dust from the street and no big deal. When it was parked in the garage, it smelled like something was burning. I popped the hood and there was a considerable amount of smoke. Took a look underneith the car and there was a tiny puddle of tranny fluid there.
I let it sit for a few minutes, fired it up and then ran through the gears. Went undernieth the car again and the puddle got slightly bigger. Any idea what could be the problem, and is it safe to drive it 3 miles up the road to my mechanic?
I'm a lil nervous.

If its hitting the exhaust there is the risk of fire , I would make sure it full of fluid ,definatly as all hotroders should carry and exstingusher.
Start the car up cold and go straight to the shop unless the leaks real bad then you should call a tow truck which might be the better option anyway ,
