Default How do you check your stall?

Just wondering how do you check the stall rpm of your convertor. I can hold the brakes up to 2100 rpms before its starts to break the tires. I thought with a 3400 stall I could do this up to 3400rpms.

Let me know if I'm thinking wrong.

No...your brakes will never be able to hold it up to true stall speed. The torque multiplication is way to great for that. The only way to find true stall speed is with a transbrake. A transbrake engages the forward gear and reverse gear at the same time, this locks the output shaft of the tranny. The only thing you can do to get an idea is to flash it. Footbrake it just off idle and then mash it. See what the rpm jumps up to, that is you flash rpm, close to stall rpm.
