I paid $275. I've also heard $300-350 as being acceptable for a converter install.

So yes, $250 is a very good deal.

Depends on your area, but that's a pretty good price.

250 for and R&I on a trans and install converter in a shop is reasonable.I have seen it vary from 250 to 600 but with a shop you have to bear in mind your paying for more than just the guy putting it in , Your paying for tools ,equipment ,building and hopefully te peace of mind of knowing the guy doing it is doing it right.

We charge $300.00 to R&R a transmission in a RWD vehicle.
4x4's are an extra $150.00.
Race cars are quoted after seeing them... some are easier, many are a PITA to work on. I hate working around cages!!!!!!

I do a lot of work outa my house and usually charge $200-250 for tranny/clutch/converter swaps. I guess it depends also how big of a hack job the exhaust is and any aftermarket parts that could get in the way.
