Default What size fitting is the pressure port on a 4l60e

Hey everyone I'm putting a temp gauge in and I dont have the time to poke the pan and put the temp sensor there and wont for a while. So I need to know what size fitting I need to screw my sensor into the pressure port on the 60e. I know that the temps will read higher than they are but until I have the time to tap into the pan this will work. And when I do tap into the pan where is the best place to do it?
Thanks
-Jeremy

The pressure port is 1/8 NPT. I would recommend not to put it there. I have seen cases get cracked. Also the sensor gets bottomed out and it can not be removed with out destroying it. Keep that in mind when tightening it down. Don't be an animal with it. When I install one in a pan I normally look for an area that will not be an issue when it's in the vehicle and also a spot the will not hit any of the transmissions internal components. Hope this helps. Vince

the sender fits in it directly, so i'd think it's 1/4 NPT

The cooler lines are a 1/4 however the pressure tap above the linkage is 1/8-27 NTP. I think there has been some confusion in this thread. Vince

No problem. After reading this thread it just proves that none of us know it all. I have way to much info in my head and to be honest with you I had to double check when I got to the shop today. You guy's made me second guess myself and I know your all just testing me in my old age. Vince
