Ideal driveshaft yoke engagement
Quick question, how much yoke is appropriate to see when the driveshaft is in, and the car is completely level?
Mine is a T400/9" combo.
Here is a pic to illustrate what I'm talking about got it from a Jeep site:

In my expirience it , as well as most drive shaft builders I have dealt with , Bottom the yoke out in the trans or transfer case and pull it out approximately 5/8 inch . That would be with the suspension loaded. The picture you show would appear to be too short at first look , but it could also be that the rear seal could have been changed from a booted design to a non booted ! At full up-travel you'd want the rust-ring (or the unpolished part
of the yoke) to barely not hit the tail seal. That Jeep probably has
a big lift so there is more stick-out needed at resting height. But
when you hit the whoop-de-dos you need to push in without bind.
On our cars that would be launch with full squat, or model it with
the springs out and the axle against the stops.
