Default flexplate question

whats the diff between a 153 tooth and a 168 tooth flexplates? Will either work with a 408 LQ9?

no, those are for gen1 small blocks

There are adapter to fit an SBC flexplate to an LSx, but only the 168 tooth flexplate will work. Otherwise the flexplate will be tucked behind the engine bellhousing pad, the start will not be able to reach it, nor will you be able to mount the bolts for the converter. LSx flexplates are 168 tooth and specific to LSx engines.
