Default 4l80e Shifter bracket help on trans..pics inside

Guys-

If i remember right do you swap out this longer 4l80e shifter stud and replace with 4l60? I didnt have a 4l60e prior but i bought this shifter cable and bracket on here. Looking for what i need to make this work, would just a nut on the end work?

Did you guys just use one of the trans pan bolts to hold this bracket on?

Correct, in the 2nd pic if the linkage is hooked up all you need is the nut on the end and your set. The bracket should just bolt to the pan where you have it placed.

When you say stud what do you mean? Everything you need minus a nut is in your secound pic. The only issue between the 4l80e and the 60e linkage is the little ball snap on the end of the shift linkage. The 4l80e has one thas to big to fit into the 4l60e cable. So you just take the 4l60e linkage and slip it on the 4l80e ( the part that is held on by the nut) Sorry if its confusing.

Good deal, yep all you need is the ball snap. That would be alot of work to swap out that whole stud.
