Powerglide Temp Sensor
i have a JW case for my powerglide and im not sure where to mount the sensor.
the case has 3 ports (1 pressure, 1 return, and one that has a plastic nipple fitting with a green cap) and the servo cover has a port as well.
Should the sensor be mounted in the case, in the pan or after the pressure fitting to get the actual trans temp?

I would mount it in the pan. The reason for that is this is the fluid that is being picked up and being sent throughout the unit.
Where is the nipple with the green cap?... the servo cover port is a pressure tap port.

Is the servo cover an additional pressure port?
I was told that the bottom line is pressure and the top line is the return line.
Do you think the JW Deep pan is thick enough for me to tap it directly?
You can see nipple at the top on both pictures.

Bottom is pressure, top is return.
Top most nipple is the case vent, don't tamper with it unless you are installing a catch can.
It is a cast pan right? Then it should be thick enough, just use common sense and do it right the 1st time.
