Default 4l60e Leaking from the shifter adjuster??

Did a 5.3 vortec swap in my e30 BMW, ran great and seemd to be ok. Drove the car for awhile, and then i went out for another time, and saw a fluid trail? So i pull over and its pissing out bad, so i jacked it up, and looks like it spills out the part where the shift linkage is were you shift the tranny?? What could it possably be?

Manual shaft seal may need to be replaced...

Remove shift cable from lever, remove nut while holding lever (with large crescent wrench), remove lever, with awl poke into and pry out seal, clean between shaft/bore, inspect for damage, lube new seal, install new seal by tapping in with hammer on socket, install lever/nut, tighten while holding lever, install shift cable to lever.

Check fluid level.

Thanks for your response. But i climbed under it today, and figured out it WASNT the linkage port it was the heat sensor port. I had an aftermarket sensor and it blew the port out.
