4L80E: Here's one you dont see very often
I have a low mile 4L80E complete with the flexplate verter and all. Planning to do the Transgo Stg 3 manual kit. Havent decided yet.
I am buying a LQ4 6.0L short block. It has the funky longer/thicker rear flange on the crank. It had a 4L80E behind it though.
Since I planned to run the 4L80E cant I use the flexplate I have and just buy a stall setup for a truck? Then bolt this all up to the shortblock I am buying.
This is gonna be a budget run it till it scatters turbo build for the new shop car.

I think you are on the right track. I don't see any reason it will not work.
Be sure to pay close attention to the converter / flexplate spacing when you bolt it up. I think you'll be fine.

Here is the plan:
Stock LQ4 short block
-ARP rod bolts
-236/236 .602"/.602" 114
-Aluminum 317 LQ9 heads w/ dual springs
-Victor Jr intake
-90mm TB
T6 80mm S480 Turbo setup
-1.10 A/R
-Race cover
-JGS 56mm BOV
-JGS 60MM WG
-5"-4" DP
4L80E Swap
-Transgo Full manual setup (might stay full auto, dont know yet)
-Big Trans cooler
-Stall ???????
Stock 10 Bolt
-3.42 gears
What stall ya think would work with the above and be budget minded. Remeber its basicly a truck setup being put in a car. Needs to be a truck style stall.
