Default A big thanks to Yank & a question

I wanted to just thank Yank for working with me on getting the right converter for my application. Also, a general question for the board.

My car was nearly .2 faster if I rode the converter up to about 2000rpm as opposed to simply flashing it. Any clues to why that may be? The difference was 1.85 60's vs 1.75 60's and 12.5's vs 12.3's, same mph.

With the stock converter, I got the best ET & 60ft by flashing it.

Thanks

The stator design will dictate the converter characteristics.

Some converters are not sensitive to stall rpm where as some need as much as you can give them to perform at there peak.

As a rule of thumb....you can double the 60ft improvements to see what gains you'll see in the 1/4, which is exactly what you just proved.

Nice numbers!!!!
