Default Broken converter????

I don't know if this is normal, but I just bought a converter used from another board member and when I shake it, there is somthing clunking around in there. I have no idea if it is supposed to do that or not, I am a t56 guy. I don't even have the tranny that I was going to put it on, so I don't have any way of testing it out.

Anyways it sounds like everything in there is just sliding from side to side.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Get it clean and rebuild it if it needs it. Some shops will look at it for free and diagnose the problem. I got my converter used and it was free also. I took it to a torque converter shop have them look at it for free. They fixed the problem for $250.

I might have to but, I dont want to have to put money into it. I don't need it and I am going to have to get rid of it. I was told that it worked perfectly and if it is screwed up I dont want to sell it to somebody with the thought of it being broke in my mind.

Well I diddn't shake it at first. I was moving it around and flipped it around and it made that sound, then I shook it and it is just clunking all around.
