T56 to TH350???? Is the swap worth the time, or will not like it. The car runs 10.7 now na and sees some street. Will it go faster and still be able to play on the street?

We do 3 speed conversions quite frequently. Haven't had a complaint yet!
Most guys who do this are putting down some real power. It's a logical alternative to the OD units. However, if you wanted to preserve OD you would need to move into a 4L80E.
Lot's of our custoemrs do that as well... problem is it carries a hefty pricetag compared to the 3 speeds.
