Default I'm confused can you guys help??

Ok so i'm want to do a converter. What i was planning on doing was a 3200 yanks. I called yanks up and was on the phone with them for 15 minutes one day trying to find a stall that would not kill my gas milage. They told me go with a 3200 stall i won't regret it. Ok so i believed them and i have seen hundreds of people on this site use a 3200 as a daily driver. Yesterday i was at slp picking something up and i asked on of the tech guys there about a stall for my car. He told me that it is useless to do anything bigger then a 2600 in a mostly stock 3.23 geared camaro. He said it would not be street able and it was a waste of money. The car would tear *** with a 2600 in it. I'm not hear to knock on anyone but i just want to know who is right and what should i do. I know that slp guys know there stuff and i would imagine the guys at yanks do too, along with the rest of the guys on this site. It just doesn't make sense everyone say something different. I think i might just take a chance??

Maybe that SLP Guy was a pansy because 3200 wont feel like anything we got a PT4400 running on the street on two of our cars up here a 3600 and a SS4000. Don't worry about the 3200 if anything you might regret not going bigger.

I had a friend who first had 3200 then got a 3600 I have driven them with both in it and the 3600, I think, is much more fun. I can't really say about the MPG, but I can tell you you will not regrete the 3600.

I daily drive a 3200 yank convertor with no issues in drivablity. The converter never really stalled at 3200 more like 2600, but after some 10k miles and some hard driving it finally loosend up to 3200. Launches real smooth and fast.

As for gas mileage it will decrease in city driving but not on highway driving as longs as u get a lockup unit.

LT1 or LS1? either engine a 3200 will be fine. i wouldnt go any higher if you have an LT1 especially if your fairly stock. if you have a LS1 a 3200 will be no problem.

4000 seem much for a street car?? Your numbers in the 1/4 are very impressive i must say for a 3200 and 100 shot!! VERY NICE!

Sorry guys i forgot to tell you its and ls1 too. my bad. I might aswell ask is a 13.45 good for a stock ls1 and crappy street tires?? Watching all the other ls1 cars around my area it seems kind of fast for a stock one, but might be average?
