i recently had my tranny rebuilt by a guy in my area and i'm having some minor problems with it. when i got headers put on my car the car started shifting low in the rpms(dont know what headers would have to do with it).this was partially fixed when he put new governor springs and weights in and it started shifting at the right rpms, but it wouldnt downshift into first or even launch in first, not to mention it not downshifting in out of 4th. is there anything i can personally do to try and fix/help this issue?its not electronically controlled so i can't tune the shift points that way. also i dont really know crap about transmissions.... or much of anything for that matter.

(does fine shifting manually though)

Check that the TV cable is fully extended at WOT if it isn't then adjust to make so, If it is you may had a sticking throttle valve in valve body,
