Will a 700r out of a 1989 chevy pickup with a 4.3 work in my 1993 trans am? or is something going to be different?

Its can be done but you will have to make a couple changes to allow for lockup little wiring changes

Don't use it, it's meant for a 6 cylinder with 160 hp, different calibrations, fewer clutches, smaller servo, smaller boost valve etc. You could change all this out but you might as well go through your original trans. Good luck!
