Default TransGo Shift Kit?

Has anyone else found the instructions to be unclear. I was just curious, I am currently installing the shift kit in my 2000 Z28, and was curious any advice or tips from people who have previously installed this kit.

Did you watch the video on their website?

I found reading the directions and watching the video to be a little confusing too. Once I dropped the pan though, between both, it made sense.

Is there something in particular you're trying to figure out? If it's something specific people may be able to help you better?

Are you installing it with the tranny in the vehicle or out?

i'm installing it out of the vehicle. On step three of the instuctions it tells you to remove and discard the original springs out of the 2nd Accumulator and put the supplied ones back in, I did that and continued the steps, then later on it calls what looks to be the same part, the 4th Accumulator remove and discard original spring, and install yellow spring.? Also on step 4 select accum spring and I was supposed to have a white spring, the kit only supplied one in red for this and you can tell it is the right spring because of two tight coils in the center that match the picture. Just trying to get some things straight.

If I remember right, the 2nd accumulator was one of the parts that you removed from the tranny in the video during the disassembly phase. The 4th accumulator should still be in the transmission.

I had to use the white spring in my kit , because my piston number was 95-1 I believe. So it should be in your kit. If not it must be missing. Did you check the 2nd piston number to see which spring it called for yet? You might not need it.

Be aware the addition of the shift kit may cause the trans not to shift up properly under full acceleration until the torque mgt feature is deleted from the computer program..just a tip since it happened to me.
