Porsche Feels The Heat From The Grand Cherokee SRT-8, Pumps Up Cayenne Turbo

It must suck for Porsche to hear how a GC SRT-8 which starts at 40k can outrun it's 450hp Cayenne Turbo. Well Porsche has decided to add yet another Cayenne variant to it's lineup. Meet the Cayenne Turbo S. The 4th Cayenne model in the Porsche portfolio. Apparently 450hp was not enough and Porsche has upped the ante to 520hp in the Turbo S making the Cayenne the most powerful Porsche in it's entire model range. Had this thing been introduced a week ago, it's rating would have been eclipsed by the Carrera GTs 605hp 5.7L V10. However as of a couple of days ago, the Carrera GTs model run officially ended with a total of 1,111 cars produced thus making the Cayenne Turbo S Porsches most powerful model. It is likely that the 997 Turbo with it's much talked about VTG Turbo (that will replace the current cars twin turbo setup with a single turbo if I recall correctly) will keep output at or just slightly above the 996 Turbos 450hp rating leaving room for a higher output Turbo S and a beastly RWD GT2.

They should have just put the Carerra GT's engine in the Cayenne. Copy what Dodge did with the Ram. That prolly would have made it too expensive, even for those who would fancy a Porsche SUV.
