Default smoked fogs

posted this on the other forum and have never seen a fog write up on here

i baked my fog lights, had the oven at 350* then turned it off.. both of the fogs were in there for 6-7 mins then i pulled one out and worked on it till it cooled off and rotated for the one in the oven. just don't rush and keep them hot.. IT went a lot faster then i thought.I got carried away and made some marks and started snipping the divider, and ended up with a decent cut but if i was going to do it again i would have used the first divider to trace a cutting line on the second divider.

then i wet sanded the metal divider with 200grit to make it look better and used 220 fine grit to rough up the plastic.. I used Loctite pastix bonder as the main glue with loctite stick'n seal to put on after to make sure everything is waterproof.

then i threw in HID fogs and silver star bulbs
8K 55W DDM kit ,3157 silver star clear/amber bulbs, SMT 5 led Towers from VLED, YGMS lenses,

the install took about 1.5 hours going slow

Looks good my friend!

That's interesting that you separated them? You didn't want to just smoke the outside and call it a day?

The quality looks good...

looks great, i hate to open lenses though because it seems like they will always begin to fog up over time when it gets wet or humid. hope it works out because it looks badass

thanks for the compliments guys, i really dig the look

yea i wanted to keep my original fogs incase i ever sell or get hasseled by the cops.. niteshade paint is a good alternative

i dunked the front of the fog housings in water to see if they leaked and they dont so i hope they will hold up..

Did you have to take the bumper off to change the 194 driving lights to led?

i got the lenses from some guy who never installed them.. there was a vendor on the other site selling them a while back and just disappeared with a bunch of peoples money...

best option is to drive over to a hardware store and buy some lexan that is 1/4 of an inch thick.. heat that up hot.. use gloves to bend the lense over a football to get the curve you want.. only a slight curve .. disassemble the stock fog lights and use the OEM lens to figure how much the curve is..

or you could just use VHT niteshades and not have to do the extra work.. i chose to do the extra work because i didn't like the diffused lenses..

nope, just drop the plastic shroud and shove your hand up there.. tight fit but doable.. if you remove the fog lights its a breeze...

i assume you adjusted the fog lites with the hex screw adjustment?
mine don't cover the road like that! jeez, that's whats up! as soon
as i get home i'm going to adjust mine to angle up abit more.

also, the LEDs in the upper housing are accessible from under the car?
i have a few 6 bulb 194 wedge style LED's i can try out.

yeah i used the hex screw.. make sure you do it at night or dusk so you can match the fogs height to your low beams..

yeah the leds are accessible, its easier if you remove the fog housings.. but if you can wedge your arm up there you can reach the dome screw off cover.. and replace the lights

Looks good. I need to adjust mine up to the same level now. They are all over the place but I hardly use them so I didn't mess with it.

thanks guys

i adjusted them on rhino ramps.. with the low beams on against my garage door and then i cranked on the hex screw with a 4mm socket until they came up to the level of the stock low beams.. a little high i guess but they look slamin... the unevenness bothered me alot, i barely wanted to use them untill i readjusted them..

you could use these holes if your lazy and really lucky

i dont know how you would get it done without the car on ramps or a lift..

-will, keep us updated im interested to see what you come up with
