Default Aftermarket radiators

What are options for aftermarket radiators? I have a small leak but if I have to replace, I'd like to check out some of my other options first.

Call Luke from Lindsey Cadillac. I think he can still get the Ron Davis aluminum radiator but they are pricey. I think in the 8 to 900 range.

The 2004-2005 and the 2006-2007 Vs use the same radiator. The OEM radiators were upgraded (in mid-2005) but both the original and the revised versions are failure prone.

i understand, but once you replace 3 radiators, you will understand, lol and it has nothing to do with being a race car, it's quality and durability and the plus is that it is an awesome piece

Is the Ron Davis any better at cooling then the OEM one? I am honestly looking to improve my cooling abilities however possible.

Yes it has a much larger cooling capacity. I suspect that Ron Davis Racing could give you a percentage. The pictures give some indication.

In my case, I frequently saw 210-215 degrees F in Houston, Texas stop and go traffic with A/C. With the Ron Davis installed I never see anything over 195 degrees (no matter what), which I believe is thermostat threshold.

Added note: I am also experiencing reduced oil temperatures.

Darkman,

Do you have any photos of your installation that you could post up?

I'm interested in the fan shroud fitment on the driver's side (especially in the bolt area) as I have minimal clearance there due to a larger MAF and intake tube. The area indicated on the edited copy of your photo shows where the issue is.

Luke does not bother with selling Ron Davis. He told me that right over the phone. And really not worth 800+.

He did, he was also the one who got Ron Davis to start making these.
