Default picking up my 04 V next week

Looks like my lm7 swap will take longer now that I have a new toy. It's a blk/blk w/78k miles in cherry condition.

I've got to read up on LS6 mods.

no, the first thing he should do is order a Gen 4 diff with some gforce axles and have it handy when his 04 diff blows up...then mounts, short throw shifter, muffler delete

Nope. Sorry we are limited to crap and better crap when it comes to rear ends.

Or just go with a 9in. Bust out the pocket book!

Agree with familyman. I've got gen 4 with the brace and the newer larger axles and I'm pushing over 500 and it's holding fine. Knock on wood. That's the cheapest best way to go.

Gen 4? What chassis? I only know of two generations of CTS and I'm sure a C4 would be a downgrade.

I probably won't do any big mods for a while, so the stocker will be good for now. I like to know my options when parts come my way on the low. The first thing I want to do is add bluetooth

This car has only one small ding on the body after a really nice repaint, and the interior is super clean. It will remain to be the slower car, but I'll take clean over quick any day for my dd. Can't wait!

Gen 4 is the upgraded differential for the 1st cts-v body.

There were four different diffs in the '04-'07 CTS-V. First one apparently was put only a few of the earliest cars. My second gen diff was replaced with a third gen, and it's just fine. Getting axles helps.

Looks like mine when I bought it. Very clean! I need to get a new diff before I blow mine all over the pavement!

Nice looking car. Looks almost identical to mine, minus Eibach springs, tinted markers and fogs, and mine has a lot more brake dust.
