stupid fu$%en car
Here's the first vent thread ive ever made.
First off ive put somewhere around $10,000 into my car. I love how everything runs, it's fast enough for me. Ive fixed the shifter, lowered it,wheels, supercharger, cam, etc etc
ive noticed my diff starting to get louder the past 5,000 miles. Granted I only put 10,000 or less on it a year. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who wants to shell out $3500 for a new rear setup on a car that's worth 25-28k as it sits.
I'll say this right now. If they had put something similar to the 8.8 or 9" setup in this car to begin with i'd keep it till the thing fucken blew up.
Granted ill be in a V2 hopefully in a couple months, i'm gonna miss my car for it's nice lines, raw feel and shitty interior (which I like for some reason)
Anyone else feel this way?
Thanks for goddamn listening, happy 4th

The diff situation is the main reason my car is gone. While I miss it im glad to be in a car that can and has been built to take whatever i throw at it. I could never imagine the setup I have in the cobra in the cts-v and feel good about it.

Thats why pretty much my first mod is the 8.8 swap. From there my only worries are the 5/6 gear failure and valve spring failure. The diff swap takes care of three issues for me with one shot....driveshaft, wheel hop and getrag.

I'll be going soon. It's in the shop as we speak having the cowl hood and new front bumper cover painted. When it comes out, I have a couple things to do and then I'm gonna find some sticky tires and take it to the track...

So you supercharged it, and wonder why the rear is making so much noise??? am i missing a key detail?
I'm just too cheap to modify my car as much as i would love to. you have all the money in it now you should drive it for awhile an enjoy it some more... even if you have to put a diff in it, that's still cheaper than depreciation on a newer car/$10000 in mods you will put into the next car
