Anyone know anything about this 09 V.?
I work for a dealership here in Houston and one of our stores in Alabama received on trade a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V VIN #1G6DN57P490172826. Car is black with black interior, recaro seats and navigation.
The long and the short of the story, I purchased the car and come to find out, it doesn't have a stock bottom end. Car runs great and I am super happy with everything.....I REALLY want to know more about who did the work and what all has been done to the car.
Short block is orange, may or may not be an LSX. Everything on top, to the best of my knowledge looks stock. Car does have an aftermarket spoiler and Corsa Catback exhaust.
Please PM me if you have any information.
Thanks.!

Most states have a law that the dealer must provide an individual with the prior owners information. You should be able to contact them and get the story on the car. You could also have the Cadillac dealer run the vin and give you the service history.
Keep us posted.

This car was actually traded in to our mercedes-benz of Massapequa store.....up in New York. No luck getting into contact with the original owner thus far. I'll keep you guys posted.

Good luck in getting details on it. If I were going to keep it I would have to start tearing it down just to see what I had. I guess that I am just curious.
Get it to a track or on the dyno to see what kind of numbers that it is capable of.

I did get a casting number off the heads....they are 8452's, which is an LS7 head. Not sure if they work with an LSX block.

Confirmed
It is definately an LSX, Bowtie emblems on the block and the breathing pockets on the sides of the block are easy to pick up when you know what you are looking for.
Still trying to get more information on the build before I decide to keep it or go another route.
Update soon.
