opinion on wheels
do you think a 5 spoke wheel looks stupid with a 6 lug pattern?
i am kind of thinking it does and 6 spoke wheels are awful. that leaves an open wheel market of things with 7-10 spokes. anything more than 10 and it looks too busy to me.
if 5 spoke wheels would look okay, then i'd be all about a set of work equips.
edit: don't tell me to buy forgestar F14s. they're ugly and 75% of V1 owners with aftermarket wheels have them.

those team dynamics wheels are a completely boring size (18x9). i'm looking more for a 20x9 and 20x10 set of wheels when i go to order them.
the 5 lug swap seems pretty spendy for having to make custom parts (not really an issue). the problem being that when i blew a bearing i couldn't just go out and buy a stock replacement and be done with it. and all the ebrake business kind of leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. i don't leave my car in gear when i park it so not having an ebrake or one that doesn't function well is 100% not an option.

So.....I'm lost. Are you asking for our opinions on what wheels look good? That would totally be up to you as you have already laid out what you like. Or are you asking for us to research wheels for you?
Or are you asking people to show you their after market wheels they have with our six lug? Because most have stock/migllia/TD/forgestars so......
I don't know the point of this thread. If a 5 lug conversion is out of the question (sure sounds like it is) then you should be shopping for wheels that come in a 6x115 pattern and 20"x 9" or 10"
If any thing when you find one you like you should be coming back here and be asking our opinion if we like them or not.
Or at best a photo shop request as to how a rim, that you found, would look.

more or so the debate of a 5 spoke wheel having a 6 lug pattern being the opinion, here. i already know what i like and dislike. i do really enjoy a 5 spoke wheel, but i think the 6 bolt lug pattern kinda throws it off. it doesn't seem to jive well to me.

i like them on your car, but they wouldn't be my first choice.
for now my go-to wheel because of cost and availability is going to be the forgestar CF10 (don't mind that this is on a V2):
but if i could get away with pulling off a 5 spoke...a set of work equips would be suuuuper cool (clearly not a V):
it's too bad they're very discontinued so i'd have to find something like them instead. the new equip E05 just doesn't look as nice.

A 5 spoke wheel is a classic design and looks great on the V1, IMO, not to mention they're infinitely easier to clean and detail. The Linea Corse Veneto being one of my favorites and the SSR's on my 300ZX competing for affection with my own children. I hate 6 spoke wheels, on any car, because of the spoke symmetry. As picky as I am about wheel design and whether it complements a car design, I can't say that the number of lug holes has ever erked me one way or the other... probably because I've only ever owned one car that has had anything other than 5 lugs.

same here for cars with 5 lugs, this is my first with truck wheels.
i have been running out of wheel companies to look at. SSR, CCW, forgestar, forgeline, rotiform, etc. etc. it needs to be a company that makes built to order wheels because of the goofy bolt pattern, really.
i know the sizes and offsets i want for the most part.

i have a local shop that can get me all of those wheels, too. and he usually beats everyone's prices by a good amount.
finding the style i like is the hard part.

If you're relying solely on the shitty little parking brake shoes to keep your two ton V1 anchored you'll soon have more decisions to make other than just wheels.

when i park on a hill i do put it in gear, but my garage at home is really nice and level and the parking lot at work is, too.
it's not too often that i park somewhere that it's even necessary to leave it in gear, but i do as needed.

Bio, due some homework on the 5 lug swap before you propigate more of the lies. Its easy and the e brake works.
If you want to wheel *****, you must go 5 lug.
Agreed that the off the shelf 6 lug wheels are terrible. The only real option is custom 3 piece if staying 6 lug.

I've always wanted a set of HREs but the ones I want are worth about as much as the whole car haha. I always go to their open house in the hopes I can win a set in their raffle give aways.
