Stock for now, may upgrade to V2 calipers but with SS braided lines and EBC Yellow Pads the car stops quite well as it is.

Agreed. Stock on these cars is really impressive. I just see other people add big shiny stuff..and want to add big shiny stuff, too. Guess if I decide to do 5-lug this route after I do V2 I'm only out the rotors.

I think the stock rims painted and widened are one of the best looks for our cars. Its ashame that GM put such a shitty stance on a 400 hp car. My car has the go but it looks like a Camry from the rear which has no show.....

Stance is key! I need them widened to 10 inches.

I am currently planning to have a set widened. I have a nice set and a well worn set. Can't decide if I want to widen the nice set or the other and then have them refinished.

Weldcraft. $250/wheel for .5-3" widening of 18" aluminum wheels. This is current as of March 2016 by email quote.

I have no actual experience with widened wheels or the company so would love to hear input from others.

Talk to 07CTS-V about widening. He widened his rear wheels to 10".

I actually like the stock wheels and prefer the "sleeper" look. But if there are good, wide wheels in 6x115 for $500($1000 if widened front and rear), post them up for consideration.

i also don't like the stock wheels being 10" wide because of offset is just too high and they cause clearance issues on the inside. they're better being 9.5" wide and you can still fit way more tire than you'll ever need on them.

i like the stock wheels, too. i just don't like having the same wheels as everyone else therefore the stock wheels are not for me.

Agreed. You can easily fit a 295 on a 9.5" wheel.

Previous owner had 305 nitto semi slicks on it when I bought the car.

I put 285/30r19 rear and 245/35r19 front perelli p zeros on whatever rims these are.

I dig them, but I would love it if someone could ID what vehicle they came from.

Rears

Don't have a good picture of the fronts.

I will post up a good one when I pick it back up from liberty in Abu Dhabi tomorrow. It's getting my kW variant 3 installed at the moment.

It's had a 5 lug conversion at some point, but so far I cannot tell how it was done.

I'm wondering if it has SRX wheels as they seem to look similar and have 5 lugs.

They look like V2 wheels, but not quite. Perhaps a knock-off of sorts.

did those wheels not come on a conversion van?

or it looks to be a 5 lug replica of the SRX wheels.

But what if I want a 296?

How is the tread/sidewall compared to the rim on this scenario? I am trying to also look at handling and want to keep the tire no wider than the rim.

It varies by tire, but here's an example. I think the Michelin PSS tires that were on mine when I bought it weren't that bad, but had a slightly lower profile on the 19's.

Is that a 295 on 9.5? I ask because that looks to be a Trans Am.

As far as clearance issues on the inside, is that with or without "wide" trailing arms? I should have these in hand shortly.

Maybe I'll go 9.75" just to be different.

you won't get them to work without the wide trailing arms.

Not a problem - waiting on those to be shipped to me from CS. How wide can I go once I'm there?
